'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The veteran forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the maiden important achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would seriously think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's top focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract discussions could start in the near future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring form continues to impress
